  • NSF: Virtual and augmented reality for digital heritage and STEM experiences.
  • NSF: Augmented reality to enhance science center ecology exhibits.
  • NSF: Augmented reality to learn concepts in physics through whole body interactions.
  • NEH: Augmented reality enhancements to make connections between visits to Queens Museum of Art and to our virtual recreation of 1964/65 NY World’s Fair.
  • ONR: Augmented reality via virtual projections onto human shapes (robots, mannequins).
  • ONR: DURIP that provides equipment for a physical-virtual human-robot interaction system for training, education and rehabilitation.

Collaborations (In addition to those in CECS and IST)

  • NSF and NEH grants involve colleagues in UCF Colleges of Arts & Humanities and Science, at Michigan Tech and from a number of museums and science centers.
  • First ONR grant involves colleagues at Naval Postgraduate School and University of North Carolina.

Recognition in 2011/2012

  • 1964/65 NY World’s Fair digital recreation was selected by NSF for presentation at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in DC on February 16-21, 2011.
